Mechanical Engineering
Welcome
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the 17 teaching departments of ENS de Cachan. Its training missions for Higher Education and Research fit into those of ENS Cachan. By an appropriate cultural, scientific and technological training in the field of Mechanical Engineering, it prepares students who want to become:
- fundamental or applied researchers for academic or industrial labs,
- teachers for higher education (universities, french "grandes écoles", ...),
- teachers in prep schools or colleges.
The department at a glance
DGM is one of the largest departments of ENS Cachan : 
- nearly 200 normaliens students,
- more than 120 non normaliens students in undergrad and graduate levels,
- 35 teachers (professors, assistant professors, "agrégés", ...),
- more than 30 associate professors, 13 engineers and technicians and 3 secretaries,
- teaching labs with efficient and modern devices
